ANNIVERSARY CAKES

We are so grateful to have been a part of your Wedding Day,

and so heartbroken that we will not be able to provide an anniversary cake on your true anniversary.

We would, however, love to offer to make an anniversary cake for you in the coming weeks,

that can either be frozen and stored for your anniversary, or enjoyed now.

If you would like to place an order, please do so using the link and code

provided via email at checkout, by February 15, to ensure availability.

Recommendations for Storing your Anniversary Cake

While we have not officially tested freezing/thawing anniversary cakes here at L+B, our owner and some of our staff have experimented with the process at home for personal use, and would like to offer their suggestions:

Freezing

  1. Unbox your cake and place it in a freezer for 10-15 minutes or until the buttercream is hard to the touch.

  2. Remove cake from freezer and wrap tightly with several layers of plastic wrap so no air remains between plastic wrap and buttercream.

  3. You may choose to place the cake back inside the bakery box provided or not. We have not noticed a difference between these methods.

  4. Place the cake in the freezer as far back as possible to avoid potential thawing/refreezing.

Thawing

  1. Plan to begin the thawing process a few days before you intend to enjoy your cake.

  2. Retrieve it from the freezer and remove all plastic wrap.

  3. Place cake in refrigerator for 24 hours to slowly bring the cake to fridge-temp.

  4. Place the cake in a room-temp space for 2-3 hours to ensure cake is completely thawed before slicing and enjoying. Our cakes are always best when served at room temperature.
